Counselling
Can the Benefits of Counselling be “Guaranteed”?
Unfortunately, the answer is No. Because counselling is an interactive process that relies heavily on the person being counselled. Many people experience positive and constructive outcomes from a counselling process,
but not everyone does. This means, Thinkright cannot promise any particular outcome, benefit or result from the counselling process whether face to face, telephone or email.
Email and Telephone Consulting
These forms of consulting can bring about positive change for the individual and can assist in the overall treatment of healing and moving forward in an appropriate manner.
Possible Risks with Email and Telephone consulting
Possible risks may include: misunderstandings between the client and counsellor because of non-verbal cues; the client may have unrealistic expectations;
other issues in the client’s life may impact on the process; crisis or trauma concerns may be present or brought to a head, which is not suitable for email consulting. Most people, however, are happy with these services.
Psychiatric disorders such as schizophrenia and delusional individuals may not benefit from these forms of consulting. Self harm and suicidal individuals should seek other interventions rather than embarking on email consulting.
Thinkright does NOT provide crisis counselling or provide services to clients or patients needing urgent psychiatric attention. Please contact your nearest Mental Health Team at your local hospital or Community Health Centre. You can also contact LIFELINE on 131 114.
Thinkright counsellors have the right to terminate counselling at any time if they feel that counselling is not working for the individual.
No Refunds
Please be aware of our Non-Refundable policy. Once you pay for services we are unable to refund your monies for whatever reason, including any misunderstandings or confusion you may of had prior to paying for services and/or after receiving services.
Please contact Thinkright before making any payments online for email or other consulting services so you fully understand what services you are purchasing, as No refund will be paid regardless of the outcome of these services.
